Nineteenth letter to Oliver
Dear Oliver,
Sharing with you this poem I saw online because I remember you like sunflower :)
THE SUNFLOWER THEORY
There’s a story called the sunflower theory,
They say when give someone sunflowers,
You should always give two…
Because when the sun shines bright sunflowers face the light.
But when night falls, they turn to face each other,
Finding light in one another
So when you give someone sunflowers,
You are really saying even in the dark, you are my light.
Beautiful, isn’t it?
It’s the kind of love that doesn’t fade when the sky does.
The kind that doesn’t need constant sunshine to grow,
It’s choosing each other in quiet rooms, in ordinary mornings, in storms that never seem to end
It is knowing that when the world feels cold,
You’ll find warmth in their eyes
That when life gets heavy, you’ll still reach their hand because real love isn’t about chasing the light.
It is about becoming and for each other two sunflowers turning softly toward love even when the night is long.
